Actor Lee Ji-hoon Clarifies Domestic Violence Allegations
It has been revealed that a 40-year-old actor, who is actively working in films and dramas, is under police investigation for allegedly assaulting his wife at their home.
This actor has been identified as Lee Ji-hoon, well known for the “Crime City” series. In response to the allegations, Lee Ji-hoon's representatives stated, "It was simply a verbal dispute, and no assault took place."
**No assault took place**
The police announced on the 14th that they received a report on the 24th of last month regarding a 40-year-old actor, referred to as A, who allegedly assaulted his wife, B, at their home in Bucheon City.
When the police arrived on the scene, they investigated the actor for assault; however, since the wife expressed that she did not wish to pursue charges, the incident was classified as a domestic protection case rather than a criminal case.

**Official Position of the Agency and Progress of the Incident**
After A was identified as the actor Lee Ji-hoon, his agency, Y1 Entertainment, officially acknowledged the situation on the same day, stating, "The '40-year-old actor A' reported today is indeed our actor Lee Ji-hoon."
The agency explained, “The police were dispatched following a report by the spouse during a verbal dispute; however, based on statements and confirmations on-site, it was concluded that the matter was not serious. There was no assault, and the spouse has also clearly stated there is no intent to prosecute, so the case is currently being processed for closure.”
It also added, “We deeply apologize for causing concern to the public due to this incident, and both Lee Ji-hoon and his spouse are reflecting on the matter.”

The police initially investigated Lee Ji-hoon on assault charges; however, it has been confirmed that the victim expressed no wish to pursue charges, leading to the incident being classified as a domestic protection case.
Meanwhile, Lee Ji-hoon debuted in the entertainment industry in 2003 as a talent from KBS's 20th recruitment class. He has appeared in various works, including the films "Rollercoaster," "Heo Sam-kwon," "The Merciless," and "I Can Speak." Notably, he gained public recognition for his supporting roles in "Crime City 3" and "Crime City 4," both of which attracted over ten million viewers.
