‘Escape’, Surpasses 2 Million Viewers… No. 1 at the Box Office for 6 Consecutive Days

The movie 'Escape' (directed by Lee Jong-pil) continues to be a box office hit. In its fourth week of release, it has surpassed 2 million viewers.

According to the integrated computer network of movie ticket sales by the Korean Film Council, 'Escape' exceeded 2 million viewers as of 7 a.m. on the 24th. It is the first Korean movie of this summer to achieve this record.

It surpassed 2 million viewers in just 21 days, continuing its strong box office performance. From the 18th, it ranked first in the overall box office for six consecutive days.

The 'Escape' team released a video commemorating the 2 million viewers milestone. It includes thank-you messages from director Lee Jong-pil and actors Lee Je-hoon and Koo Kyo-hwan. Their warm responses to the audience's praise bring a smile.

'Escape' is a film about a defector soldier. Gyu-nam (played by Lee Je-hoon) begins his escape for tomorrow, and Hyeon-sang (played by Koo Kyo-hwan) chases Gyu-nam to protect today.

The 94-minute long chase action has received favorable reviews. The direction, acting, and story have all been praised. The bromance between Lee Je-hoon and Koo Kyo-hwan has also gained word-of-mouth popularity.
