20s Man Arrested for Threatening Neighbor with Gas Gun Due to Parking Dispute

A man in his 20s was arrested by the police for threatening a neighbor with a gas gun shaped like a pistol during a conflict arising from a parking issue.

According to the Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul on the 11th, the 20s man, identified as A, was booked and is under investigation for threatening a neighbor with a self-defense baton and a gas gun shaped like a pistol in a parking lot of an apartment on the afternoon of the 8th.

The victim reported to the police, stating, “When I told A's father to 'please park within the lines,' A pointed the gas gun at me and threatened, ‘I will shoot you,’ and ‘I will make a hole in your head.’”

Threatening Situation Revealed by Released Video

A video released by Channel A on the 11th vividly captured the situation at that time. The footage shows A, dressed in black, approaching a neighbor who was speaking to A's father, who was wearing a white top.

Subsequently, A took out a self-defense baton and then a gas gun shaped like a pistol, displaying threatening behavior.

During this incident, A’s father was also caught on video attempting to stop his son’s actions, exclaiming, “Don’t do it! Don’t do it!”

A’s father explained, “My son has anxiety symptoms,” and added, “It’s wrong for him to have taken out the gas gun, but I feel it’s unfair that he has become the assailant.”

Currently, the police have booked A on charges of special intimidation and are conducting a detailed investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident and any additional charges.
