Korean People's Power Party PK Joint Speech Conference, Concerns of Disturbance Despite Ban on Jeon Han-gil's Entry
The Korean People's Power Party will hold a joint speech conference in Busan at BEXCO on the 12th. This event is organized to listen to the opinions of the candidates for party leader and supreme committee members ahead of the August 22nd national convention.
This event is particularly noteworthy as it is being held just four days after Jeon Han-gil, a former history instructor, caused a disturbance at the joint speech conference in Daegu and Gyeongbuk (TK) on the 8th.
To prevent similar chaos, the party has imposed a ban on Jeon Han-gil’s entry; however, he has expressed his intention to attend this event as well, raising the possibility of another disturbance.

Four candidates for party leadership, including Kim Moon-soo, Ahn Cheol-soo, Jang Dong-hyuk, and Jo Kyung-tae, will participate in this joint speech conference.
The candidates are divided over the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, with Kim Moon-soo and Jang Dong-hyuk representing the anti-impeachment faction, while Ahn Cheol-soo and Jo Kyung-tae are on the pro-impeachment side, leading to fierce competition among them.
Jeon Han-gil Warns He Will Be "Nearby" Despite Entry Ban
During the TK joint speech conference, Jeon Han-gil sat in the press area and shouted "traitors" at the pro-impeachment candidates, leading to chaos and clashes among supporters. In response, the Korean People's Power Party immediately banned his entry and initiated disciplinary procedures against him on the 11th.
However, Jeon Han-gil has announced that even if he cannot enter the PK joint speech conference, he plans to be nearby. This raised concerns that he may disrupt the event with his supporters outside as a form of protest against the entry ban.

To prevent such situations, the Korean People's Power Party has decided to strengthen the management of entry badges starting from this event.
If entry badges are transferred to others, both the provider and receiver will be ejected.
In addition, to prevent clashes among supporters, the use of excessive noise-making cheering devices or large banners will be restricted, and if necessary, the party will enforce order maintenance rights to punish extreme booing or mockery.
Furthermore, all candidates will be required to read a 'Fair Competition Commitment' and notices requesting order maintenance will be posted throughout the venue to minimize confusion.
Candidates for the supreme committee include Kim Geun-sik, Kim Min-soo, Kim Jae-won, Kim Tae-woo, Son Beom-kyu, Shin Dong-wook, Yang Hyang-ja, and Choi Su-jin, while youth supreme committee candidates include Park Hong-jun, Son Soo-jo, Woo Jae-jun, and Choi Woo-sung, who are also in competition.
