'Risk of Blindness' Yoon Suk-yeol Canceled Appointment at Seoul National University Hospital's Ophthalmology Department
Today (the 11th), it was revealed that former President Yoon Suk-yeol, who did not attend the insurrection trial due to "health reasons," had made an appointment for an eye examination at Seoul National University Hospital but canceled it.
On the 11th, MBN reported that former President Yoon is searching for an external hospital for eye treatment.
According to the report, former President Yoon made an appointment for an eye examination at the ophthalmology department of Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul, for tomorrow (the 12th), but canceled it.
It was reported that since the detention center did not allow external medical treatment, Yoon's team is looking for another hospital.

Former President Yoon, who has been non-compliant with the special prosecutor’s arrest warrant citing health deterioration, also did not attend the insurrection trial held today (the 11th) at the Seoul Central District Court for the same reason.
Previously, on the 31st of last month, Yoon's team requested that the Seoul Detention Center allow external medical treatment, stating, "The risk of blindness is increasing as he has not received treatment for three months related to eye disease."
The eye condition referred to by Yoon's team, 'diabetic retinopathy,' is one of the typical complications of diabetes that can lead to vision loss or blindness if not treated in a timely manner.

Kim Gye-ri, the lawyer representing former President Yoon, also stated on her YouTube channel on the 5th that "there have been many inquiries regarding former President Yoon's health, so I will clarify." She mentioned that former President Yoon has been diagnosed with diabetes and has high hemoglobin A1c levels. She added that he has been prescribed antiplatelet medications after being diagnosed with carotid artery stenosis and cardiovascular disease.
Furthermore, Lawyer Kim reported that they had submitted documents related to former President Yoon's health status to the Seoul Detention Center and had requested external treatment.
Currently, it is known that the Seoul Detention Center is coordinating possible medical appointment dates with other hospitals within its facility, and there are speculations that if former President Yoon leaves the detention center for treatment, the special prosecutor’s team may execute the arrest warrant.
