Walt Disney Company Korea announced on the 11th that the Disney+ series "Takseo" (written by Cheon Sung-il, directed by Choo Chang-min) has been invited to the "On Screen" section of the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

The "On Screen" section is a program that showcases anticipated new drama series of the year. It will have its premiere screening, marking its first encounter with domestic and international audiences.

"Takseo" is a destiny-pioneering action drama set in the Gyeonggang during the Joseon Dynasty, where all resources converge. It tells the story of individuals with different dreams working together to turn the chaotic world upside down.

Writer Cheon Sung-il has returned after 14 years since the drama "Chuno." The direction is handled by director Choo Chang-min, who takes on another historical drama following the film "Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King" (2012).

The cast also raises expectations. Rowoon plays the role of Jang Si-yul, a ferry master. Shin Ye-eun portrays Choi Eun, who leads the greatest merchant group in Joseon. Park Seo-ham takes on the role of Jeong Cheon, an official of the police agency.

Meanwhile, "Takseo" will be available on Disney+ next month.
