'ASONE' Lee Min (real name Lee Min-young) has passed away amidst the mourning of colleagues.
Lee Min was found dead at his home on the evening of the 5th, at the age of 46. The funeral hall was set up at Bundang Jesaeng Hospital in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
The farewell ceremony took place at 5:30 AM on the 9th. The funeral proceedings were quietly conducted with the family. After the farewell, he was laid to rest in the Forest of Tranquility.
Brand New Music has canceled all scheduled activities due to the sudden passing of Lee Min, including the release of planned music.
The agency stated, "In honor of his memory, we will temporarily suspend the operation of our official channels. We express our deepest condolences for this incomprehensibly sad news."
Colleagues in the entertainment industry also paid their respects. Composer Yoon Il-sang, musical actor Lisa, singers Lisa, Naul, Dynamic Duo, and Verbal Jint expressed their condolences.
Lee Min debuted as ASONE in 1999, releasing hits such as "I Want and Regret" and "Day by Day." In 2013, he married a Korean man and lived in Hawaii.
Recently, he returned to Korea, balancing work as an English teacher and his music career. He released a new single titled "Happy Birthday" last June. He also appeared on KBS-2TV's "Park Bo-gum's Cantabile."
