'TWICE' Chaeyoung is set to make her solo debut. JYP Entertainment posted a short-form video on TWICE's SNS on the 8th, revealing the album-making process and announcing her solo debut news. This has raised expectations for her activities as a solo artist. Chaeyoung is immersed in recording, and the video includes scenes of her meeting with the Japanese pop band Glico.
She will be the fourth member of the group to release solo work, following Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu, who have garnered significant attention as solo artists. Recently, Chaeyoung performed "Takedown," an OST for Netflix's 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' alongside Jeongyeon and Jihyo, making it onto various charts such as the Billboard in the United States and the UK Official Charts.
TWICE is also active as a full group. They appeared as headliners at 'Lollapalooza Chicago,' held on the 3rd in Grant Park, Illinois. They kicked off their sixth world tour 'This Is For' in Incheon on the 19th and 20th of last month, with plans to visit Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, and Thailand.
Meanwhile, Chaeyoung will release her new work on the 12th of next month at 1 PM.
