
The animated film 'King of Kings' (directed by Jang Seong-ho) has surpassed 1 million viewers in the Republic of Korea. According to the Korean Film Council's integrated box office network, 'King of Kings' attracted 11,582 viewers on the 6th. The cumulative audience count stands at 1,061,48. It ranks third in the box office among Korean animations, following 'The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly' (2.22 million) and 'The Love of Hachuping' (1.24 million).
'King of Kings' is a K-animation. It portrays a journey where the British author Charles Dickens embarks with his youngest son into a great story that took place 2,000 years ago. The film premiered in North America last April and has earned $60.3 million (approximately 83.5 billion KRW) in that region alone, according to Box Office Mojo's statistics as of the 7th.
Meanwhile, 'Zombie Daughter' (directed by Pil Gam-seong) continues to dominate the box office, maintaining its number one position for eight consecutive days. The second place is taken by 'F1 The Movie', followed by 'Ballerina' in third place.
