A man who cleared the scene of a bus-taxi collision with his bare hands has since disappeared.
The story of a college student who cleaned up a traffic accident that occurred in the middle of a busy eight-lane intersection has captured the attention of netizens.
On the 31st of last month, a post titled "Praising and searching for the righteous youth from Kyungil University" appeared on the automotive online community Bobae Dream.
The author, Mr. A, explained the situation: "It was at an intersection in Yulgok-dong, Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Around 1:30 PM today, a bus and a taxi collided really hard, causing the taxi's airbag to deploy and a passenger to fall to the ground. It was a serious accident."
The photos shared by Mr. A showed the devastating accident scene, with shattered vehicle debris strewn across the road. At the center of this chaos was an unidentified man who could be seen rushing around the accident site.
Mr. A recounted, "The vehicles were tangled, and everyone was just watching, but then a man came out onto the road and started to clear the scene. When I asked, he said he was a student from Kyungil University."

He continued, "He directed traffic and immediately handed cash and a mobile phone found inside the accident taxi to the driver, then called for an ambulance and checked if anyone needed first aid."
Moreover, he added, "There was a lot of debris, but seeing him clearing it all with his bare hands while directing traffic made me feel that the world still has hope."
"To the unnamed student from Kyungil University… please contact me."
It is presumed that the man injured his hand during the cleanup and even checked under the electric taxi to ensure there was no fire.

In conclusion, Mr. A stated, "I want to give a round of applause to the unnamed brave young man from Kyungil University for his actions. With someone like him around, it seems that Korea is still a warm place," and added, "If you happen to see this post, please reach out. I would like to treat you to a meal."
Upon hearing this story, many netizens responded with comments like "In this hot weather, it's impressive that he didn’t ignore someone else's situation and helped out," "I'm proud to be an alumnus," and "He is a rare kind-hearted young man."
