Incheon Songdo Homemade Gun Murder Case Suspect Not Target of Psychopath Diagnosis Test
The police announced today (October 4) that the suspect in the homemade gun murder case that occurred in Incheon Songdo was not classified as a target for a diagnosis test for antisocial personality disorder (psychopathy).
A police official explained at a regular press briefing, "As a result of the profiler's interview, it was determined that the suspect did not fall under the target for the psychopath test, so the test was not conducted."
The psychopath diagnosis test consists of a total of 20 questions that quantify personality traits such as coldness, impulsiveness, and irresponsibility. In South Korea, an individual is classified as a psychopath if they score 25 points or higher on a scale of 40.

Meanwhile, the police clarified that they had not conducted any forced investigations regarding the allegations of violation of the conflict of interest prevention law related to former Broadcasting and Communications Review Commission Chair Ryu Hee-rim.
A police official stated, "We applied for a warrant to secure data, but it was not requested at the prosecution stage, and there were three requests for supplementation," adding, "In those circumstances, we have done our best in the investigation, but we are currently confirming whether there are any shortcomings."
Regarding the knife attack that occurred at a temple in Gileum-dong, Seongbuk-gu on the evening of the 25th of last month, the suspect is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, which has hindered the police investigation from progressing.
Concerning the arson incident at a sewing factory in Shindang-dong that occurred on June 3, the police announced that the onsite investigation confirmed that the suspect had spread flammable liquid before igniting it.

Regarding the fire incident at the international conference hall of Jogye Temple, which occurred on the 10th of the same month, analysis of CCTV footage has been conducted, and a final joint investigation result is awaited.
Additionally, the police stated that they are "conducting an investigation in accordance with procedures" regarding Mos Tan (Korean name: Dan Hyun-myung), a professor at Liberty University in the United States, who has been repeatedly accused of conspiracy theories related to President Lee Jae-myung and reported for suggesting false election claims.
