According to the fire department, the incident occurred at around 3:52 PM on the 3rd, when a fire suddenly ignited in a 44-seat tourist bus driving on National Route 34 in Dongbu-ri, Cheongbuk, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
The bus, which was returning to Ansan, Gyeonggi-do after completing a mountain club schedule in Mungyeong, began to emit smoke from the rear while in motion.

Upon noticing the smoke, he immediately pulled the bus over to the shoulder of the road and swiftly evacuated all 37 passengers.
Throughout this process, all passengers were able to evacuate safely on their own, with no injuries reported.

However, as the flames spread throughout the bus, significant damage occurred, affecting the engine compartment and resulting in property losses estimated at around 180 million won.
