“August 15th Liberation Day Holiday, Delivery Day Off”… Check the Shipping Schedule in Advance

**Suspension of Parcel Delivery During Liberation Day Holiday**

In August, when the heat wave is at its peak, there will be changes to parcel services ahead of Liberation Day.

As in previous years, a "no delivery day" will be implemented, resulting in a temporary suspension of parcel delivery.

According to the courier industry on the 3rd, the four major courier companies in Korea—CJ Logistics, Hanjin, Lotte Global Logistics, and Logen—will observe a no delivery day from August 14 to 15, coinciding with the Liberation Day holiday.

This system has been voluntarily implemented during specific periods, such as holidays and Liberation Day, since its introduction through social consensus in 2020.

On the other hand, Lotte Global Logistics and Logen will observe a two-day break from the 15th to 16th.

With the holiday coinciding with the weekend, delivery may be suspended for up to three days.

In particular, parcels received on the 14th may not resume delivery until the 18th, so extra attention is required.

According to iNews24, the post office parcel service is also expected to designate a maximum of five days as "no delivery days" from the 14th to the 18th.

**Increase in Fresh Food Orders Amid Heat Wave… Delivery Delays Inevitable**

The industry anticipates that there will be temporary delivery delays due to a surge in parcel volume before and after the holiday.

Especially this summer, with record heat, the orders for refrigerated, frozen foods, and fresh produce have significantly increased, potentially leading to greater consumer inconvenience. Therefore, prior confirmation of delivery schedules is essential.
