
The movie 'Zombie Daughter' recorded the highest pre-sales of the year one day before its release.
According to the Korea Film Commission's integrated ticketing system, 'Zombie Daughter' surpassed a pre-sale amount of 273,354 tickets and a booking rate of 40% as of 2 PM on the 29th. This is the highest booking rate among films released this year. It has outperformed Bong Joon-ho's new film 'Mickey 17' (244,159 tickets) and the highest-grossing film 'Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning' (255,213 tickets) in pre-sale figures.
Currently, it is ranked first in pre-sales among currently screening and upcoming films. 'F1 The Movie' (director Joseph Kosinski) recorded 100,000 tickets, while 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' (director Kim Byeong-woo) recorded 74,000 tickets.
The reactions from the pre-screening have also been overwhelmingly positive. The film has effectively captured the original work's cheerful essence on screen. Jo Jung-seok's relatable comedic performance is seen as a guarantee for success. It has been praised for capturing both laughter and emotion simultaneously.
