In a railroad crossing accident in Chungnam Nonsan, a signalman has tragically lost his life.

According to News1 on the 29th, at 9:46 AM that day, a cleaning vehicle collided with a train at a railroad crossing in the Bujeok-myeon area of Nonsan City.

In this incident, a male signalman in his 60s, who was trying to save others, lost his life, adding to the tragedy.

According to the Nonsan police, at the time of the accident, the cleaning vehicle had entered the tracks while the barriers were down. Upon seeing this, signalman A ran to the scene, got the driver out of the vehicle, and was guiding him to safety.

As the train approached, it was determined that the signalman was struck by the second impact after the initial collision between the train and the vehicle.

Signalman A was urgently transported to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest, but he ultimately could not be revived and died.

It is reported that the cleaning vehicle was completely consumed by fire after the collision.

There were no injuries among the passengers on the train, and after a one-hour halt for safety checks following the accident, the train resumed operation.

The police and fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.
