Actor Kim Young-kwang and Cha Soo-bin will meet in their next project, bringing excitement to viewers with a K-romance.
On the 29th, Netflix announced the production and casting news for the new series "Charge Me Up" (written by Song Yu-chae, directed by Park Soo-won), stating, "Kim Young-kwang and Cha Soo-bin will star."
"Charge Me Up" is a romantic comedy. The original work is a web novel of the same name. It tells the story of a man with a dead artificial heart battery and a woman with electrical powers.
Kim Young-kwang plays the role of Baek Ho-rang, a third-generation conglomerate heir. He leads a resort under a major corporation and is a strong candidate for group management, but he hides a weakness related to his artificial heart.
In the midst of intense managerial competition, he unexpectedly meets Na Bo-bae. She becomes a miraculous woman who can charge his artificial heart battery and proposes a shocking contract.
Cha Soo-bin portrays the character Bo-bae, a drama writer. After being struck by lightning in her childhood, she develops the ability to conduct electricity throughout her body. Although she needs to complete a romance script, her reality is that she has never had a relationship.
A clumsy guy encounters a tiger, the only person who doesn’t electrocute her upon contact. This presents an opportunity to recharge a romance that has been in a depleted state for a lifetime.
Director Park Soo-won is in charge of the direction. He has shown a talent for humor through works like "The All-Round Wife" and "Drinking City Women 2." The script is penned by rookie writer Song Yu-chae.
Meanwhile, the release date for "Charge Me Up" has yet to be determined. It will be available for viewing on Netflix later.
