Singer Kim Jung-min (56) has lost his mother.
The agency 'Silverstone Entertainment' announced on the 28th to 'Dispatch' that "Kim Jung-min's mother passed away on the 27th." She was 93 years old at the time of her passing.
The mortuary has been set up at Room 201 of the Yanghwa Funeral Home in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. The funeral will be held at 8:20 AM on the 29th. The burial site is also at Suwon Yanghwa.
Colleagues from the entertainment industry expressed their condolences. Actors Park Jun-myeon, Jang Dong-jik, broadcasters Kim Young-chul and Lee Soo-geun, singer Kim Kyung-ho, and 'Brown Eyed Soul' members Naul and Young-jun sent condolence wreaths.
Kim Jung-min had a close mother-son relationship with the deceased. Last year, he mentioned his mother's dedication as a key to his success during a broadcast. He stated, "I was able to do well thanks to my mother."
He endured a long-distance lifestyle to take care of his mother. He sent his first and second sons to Japan for soccer studies, while his wife Rumiko remains in Japan with the children.
