Fatal Accident Involving a House in Yangpyeong, Teenage Girl Dies
In Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, a tragic incident occurred when a Mercedes driven by an elderly woman in her 80s crashed through the fence of a house, resulting in the death of a teenage girl who was in the yard.
According to the police on the 27th, the accident happened around 6:40 PM in Yongmun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, when a Mercedes sedan driven by an 80-year-old woman, referred to as A, collided with a single-family home.
As a result of the accident, a teenage girl, referred to as B, who was in the house's yard, was crushed by the vehicle and was urgently transported to the hospital but ultimately passed away.

The point where the accident occurred was a local road that bent at a right angle. According to police investigations, A attempted to make a right turn on the road but ended up crashing into the metal fence of the house directly ahead and then veered into the yard.
The police conducted a breathalyzer test on A but found no evidence of drunk driving or other violations.
Authorities currently believe that the accident was likely caused by A's lack of driving skill.
A police spokesperson stated, "We are conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident," adding that "once the investigation is completed, we plan to file criminal charges against A."
