Seoul Gileum Station Slashing Incident Involving a Man in His 70s, 2 Injured
On the 25th, a man in his 70s wielded a knife at a venue near Gileum Station on Seoul's Subway Line 4 in Seongbuk-gu, resulting in two individuals suffering serious injuries.

According to the police, around 7:37 PM that day, a male suspect in his 70s, identified as Mr. A, suddenly attacked two men in their 60s with a knife inside a second-floor venue in Gileum-dong.
The indiscriminate attack left the victims with serious injuries, suffering stab wounds to their abdomen and hands. It has been reported that the victims were quickly transported to a nearby university hospital for treatment.
The police who arrived at the scene confronted Mr. A, who was armed with a knife, and ultimately subdued him after firing two shots from a Taser, successfully apprehending him.
Suspect Mr. A also sustained abdominal stab wounds, believed to be self-inflicted, and was transported to the hospital, currently in a state of unconsciousness.

According to testimonies from a nearby merchant, "One of the victims appeared to have been injured while trying to intervene," adding that "when the police arrived, Mr. A was locking the door."
