"Company is unrelated to the incident"… Skin care company 'Yaksom Myeongga' requests to refrain from speculation
In relation to the shooting incident in Songdo, Incheon, the family of the victim, whose member was a director at the skin care franchise 'Yaksom Myeongga', has issued an official statement declaring that the incident is entirely unrelated to the company and urging for the cessation of speculative reporting and assumptions.
On the 22nd, Yaksom Myeongga announced in a statement on their company website, "This incident is a matter related to the personal affairs of our employees and has no connection to our business activities or management operations," adding, "The suspect is neither a shareholder nor an employee of our company and has no direct or indirect relationship with us."

They continued, stating, "Due to recent inquiries and reports, confusion has arisen in our internal operations and among employees' daily lives," and pleaded, "We kindly request your cooperation to prevent further expansion of speculative allegations surrounding the company."
The family of the victim also expressed, "Concerns about secondary harm"… requesting a quiet mourning
Yaksom Myeongga conveyed the position of the victim's family, saying, "As a family member and director at our company, they are in deep sorrow from losing a family member due to this incident and fervently hope that no additional social disturbances or third-party harm will occur," and requested, "Please allow us to mourn the deceased quietly."
Finally, Yaksom Myeongga stated, "Regardless of this incident, we will prioritize customer trust and satisfaction and continue to provide unchanging services."
This statement is interpreted as a response to unverified claims and rumors that have recently spread, particularly within online communities.

Online, there are claims of "naturalization of a Chinese individual, same person as the slingshot incident" … Police "not factual"
Meanwhile, various rumors have spread concerning the suspect, Mr. A (62), in the shooting incident. In online communities, a post titled "The Story of the Songdo Shooting Incident" has circulated, claiming that Mr. A is a naturalized Chinese citizen and that the deceased victim is his stepson, with even more allegations that he is the same individual who shot a metal ball with a slingshot and damaged an apartment window in Songdo last year.
However, the Incheon Police Agency officially stated regarding these rumors, "This is not true."
Currently, the police are continuing a custody investigation of Mr. A on charges of murder, violations of the Weapons, Etc. Control Act, and preparation for arson of a residential structure, while also investigating the motive for the crime and any additional criminal activities.
