The special prosecutor's team investigating various allegations surrounding Kim Geon-hee, the spouse of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, has notified her to appear for questioning by 10 AM on August 6.

On the 21st, the special prosecutor's office announced, "We have notified Kim Geon-hee to appear at the KT Building West office in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, at 10 AM on August 6 to be questioned as a suspect."

Request for cooperation for the investigation sent to former President Yoon through Seoul Detention Center

Regarding former President Yoon, a request for cooperation was sent through the Seoul Detention Center where he is currently incarcerated. The special prosecutor’s office explained, "We have conveyed a request to the detention center's chief to cooperate in the investigation by being questioned by 10 AM on the 29th."

Former President Yoon is currently under investigation related to allegations of stock manipulation tied to Deutsche Motors and also has connections to an individual known as Myung Tae-kyun, a political broker, and the so-called 'Gyeonjin Beopseong' (former Mr. Moon).

A source from the special prosecutor's office stated, "The investigation into Kim Geon-hee will encompass allegations of stock manipulation related to Deutsche Motors and Samboo Construction, the so-called 'Gyeonjin Beopseong' involvement, and her connections with political broker Myung Tae-kyun."

Additionally, it was mentioned that "the investigation into former President Yoon is focused on allegations related to Myung Tae-kyun."

Since officially launching the investigation in June, the special prosecutor's team has been conducting extensive data analysis and interviewing witnesses, and has reportedly begun formal summoning inquiries this month.
