Incheon Songdo homemade gun murder case, explosives found in the suspect's residence in Seoul
A father who killed his son using a homemade gun in Incheon Songdo International City also had explosives placed in his home.
According to the police on the 21st, Mr. A, who was urgently arrested for the murder of his son with a homemade firearm in an apartment in Songdo, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, stated that he had also installed explosives at his residence located in Ssangmun-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul.
Following Mr. A's statement, the police promptly dispatched a special police unit to the scene. In an operation conducted during the early morning hours, the police safely evacuated 105 residents from the apartment and successfully discovered and neutralized homemade explosives made using thinner and a timer.

Circumstances of the crime and investigation progress
On the evening of the 20th, around 9:31 PM, Mr. A fired a gun at his son, residing in an apartment in Incheon Songdo, and fled. This incident, occurring on his son's birthday, has further shocked the community.
After a swift pursuit, the police succeeded in apprehending Mr. A around 12:20 AM, as the date changed, in the Gangnam area of Seoul.
The police are currently transporting the suspect back to Incheon to investigate the specific circumstances of the incident. It has been reported that they are focusing on the motive for the crime and the background of how he acquired the homemade firearm.
Additionally, the police plan to conduct a thorough investigation to prevent any further potential victims.
