Incheon Songdo Shooting Incident… Circumstances of Father Shooting Son, Police in Pursuit

A shooting accident occurred in an apartment complex in Incheon Songdo International City, resulting in the death of a male victim. Police are currently pursuing the suspect, believed to be the victim's father.

According to the Incheon Yeonsu Police Station and firefighting authorities on the 20th, reports of gunfire in an apartment complex within Songdo International City were received around 10:30 PM.

As a result of the incident, a male identified as A was transported to the hospital in critical condition around 11:09 PM but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Caller Reported "Father-in-law Shot Husband"

The caller is presumed to be A's wife, who reportedly informed the emergency services that "the father-in-law shot the husband." Police believe the suspect is a Korean male who committed the crime using a firearm.

A firefighting official stated, "We were dispatched after receiving a request for cooperation from the police" and confirmed that "one male was transported to the hospital, although his exact age has not yet been confirmed."

A police spokesperson commented, "A shooting incident did occur, but it was not a situation of indiscriminate firing; we believe the father intentionally targeted his son." The police are concentrating their investigative efforts to apprehend the suspect.
