Stray Kids have raised anticipation for their comeback.
On the afternoon of the 12th, Stray Kids released the music video teaser for "Chk Chk Boom," the title track of their new mini-album "ATE." Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds made a surprise appearance.
Ryan Reynolds appeared as a news anchor on a small TV screen in the teaser, delivering breaking news. The members appeared one by one in various locations such as streets, urban rooftops, and luxurious mansions.
It highlighted Stray Kids' presence, influencing music markets worldwide. As the video transitioned, a portion of the new song could be heard, teasing the addictive sound.
Stray Kids performed a stage inspired by "Deadpool" in Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War" in 2021. This marked the beginning of a special relationship with Ryan Reynolds, the leading actor of the film.
The title track is a Latin-style hip-hop rhythm song. Its addictive loop and languid, unique top line are key attractions. The lyrics express their boldness in dominating the worldwide music market.
The group's producing team 3RACHA, consisting of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, worked on the tracks again. They infused the group's distinctive musical color into the album.
The album contains a total of 8 songs, including the title track "Chk Chk Boom" (Festival version), "Mountains," "Jam," "I Like It," "Runners," "Again Night," and "Stray Kids."
Along with the album release, they will perform as headlining performers at "British Summer Time Hyde Park" in London, UK, on the 14th, and at "Lollapalooza" in Chicago, USA, on the 2nd of next month.
They are also set to embark on a new world tour "dominATE," starting from Seoul on the 24th of next month, followed by stops in Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney in Australia, Kaohsiung in Taiwan, with additional performances in Latin America, North America, and Europe to be announced.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids will release their new album on various major music sites at 1 PM on the 19th.
