"Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries is moving in"… Wedding Hall Cancels Reservations for Engaged Couples
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' decision to occupy the building designated as the Busan Government Complex has left engaged couples in a panic as the wedding hall that had been residing there abruptly canceled their reservations.
According to a report by MBN on the 17th, an engaged couple planning to marry in November received a shocking phone call from their wedding planning agency on the 15th.

The wedding planning agency informed the couple that "the wedding hall where the ceremony was to take place suddenly announced it would close and canceled their reservation."
Previously, on the 10th, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced that it would relocate to Busan by the end of the year, designating the IM Building in Dong-gu as the main building and using the Negotiation Tower as the annex. The wedding hall was utilizing the 19th floor of the IM Building as the banquet hall and the 20th floor as the buffet.
The groom expressed, "The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced that they were moving into the building, so any weddings scheduled after September would have to be canceled. It was very shocking."
The bride added, "We’ve already told our relatives, so it seems we will have to change our wedding date. Our families still don’t know."
They had already confirmed their honeymoon plans and even begun printing invitations.

In response, the wedding hall stated to MBN, "We cannot hold the ceremony due to internal circumstances, and this is unrelated to the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries."
So far, over 20 couples have been confirmed as victims. Most are only able to recover a portion of their deposits, amounting to hundreds of thousands of won, and are preparing for collective action to seek compensation for their damages.
