The soundtrack of Netflix's 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' has broken into the top 10 of the Billboard main chart.
On the 15th, Billboard revealed its latest rankings (as of July 19). The OST 'Golden' from 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' has reached 6th place on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
It climbed 17 spots compared to the previous week, moving up from 23rd place last week. It first entered the chart at 81 on July 5 and has maintained a rising trend for three weeks.
The vocalist of 'Golden', HuntRix, has become a virtual artist to enter the Hot 100 top 10 for the first time in 16 years. The last time a virtual artist appeared on this chart was back in 2009, when the American sitcom 'Hannah Montana' made the list. This achievement marks the first for a K-Pop virtual group.
Another soundtrack titled 'Takedown' debuted at 86 on the Hot 100. This song was performed by members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung from TWICE. This is the first time a member solo, rather than the entire group, has made it onto the Hot 100.
The Hot 100 rankings are determined by a combination of streaming data, airplay, and sales figures. 'Golden' achieved 18.8 million streams, 950,000 airplay points, and 3,000 sales.
'Golden' also topped both the Billboard Global 200 and Global (excluding U.S.) charts. This is the first time a virtual artist has claimed the number one spot on these charts.
Songs by the group The Lion Boys are also gaining popularity. 'Your Idol' placed 3rd and 5th on the Global 200 and Global (excluding U.S.) charts, respectively. 'Soda Pop' recorded 6th and 7th positions.

The main album chart has also been swept. The 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' OST ranked 2nd on the Billboard 200. There have been only four OSTs that have recorded 2nd place or higher in the 2020s.
In its third week of release, it recorded 96.33 million streams, achieving the highest rank this year. It has reached the status of having the most weekly streams for an OST since 'Encanto' three years ago in 2022.
It is also performing well on domestic charts. As of 11 AM on the 15th, 'Golden' sung by HuntRix topped the Melon 'Top 100' chart. The Lion Boys' 'Soda Pop' secured the 4th position.
