Illegal filming incident at university MT site
An illegal filming incident occurred during a university club MT at a pension in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province.
The Women and Youth Crime Investigation Unit of the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency announced on the 14th that they have booked a 20-year-old man, referred to as A, without detention on charges of filming using a camera under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes.

A is accused of illegally filming fellow university club members by installing his mobile phone in the bathroom of a pension located in Daesung-ri, Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun around 4 AM on the 12th.
Students who discovered the suspiciously placed mobile phone in the bathroom immediately reported it to the police, and upon arrival, the police confirmed illegal filming materials on the device and arrested A in the act.
It is reported that illegal filming materials featuring students who attended the MT with A were found on his mobile phone, which belonged to the president of a well-known university club in Seoul.
This incident serves as a reminder of the seriousness of digital sexual crimes occurring within university campuses.
Investigation Progress and Future Plans

The police are currently conducting forensic work on A's mobile phone and have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident.
A representative from the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police Agency stated, "A full-scale investigation has not yet been conducted, and we have only secured victim statements from the scene at the time of the incident. We plan to conduct a thorough investigation with the students who were present at the scene later on."
