Frederic Arnault, CEO of Loro Piana and known to be in a relationship with BLACKPINK member Lisa, recently visited South Korea and held consecutive meetings with leaders of major department stores.
This visit, which has garnered attention in the luxury fashion industry, is seen as a reflection of LVMH Group's strong interest in the domestic luxury market.
According to industry reports on the 8th, Frederic Arnault, CEO of LVMH Group, met in succession with Jung Joon-ho of Lotte Department Store, Kim Young-hoon of Hanwha Galleria, Park Joo-hyung of Shinsegae Department Store, and Jung Ji-young of Hyundai Department Store over the course of two days starting from the previous day. This is interpreted as a strategic approach to the Korean luxury market.
Frederic Arnault, along with LVMH Group executives, visited major domestic department stores including Lotte Department Store Avenue L in Jamsil, its main branch, Shinsegae Department Store in Gangnam and its main branch, Galleria Luxury Hall in Apgujeong, and Hyundai Department Store in Apgujeong. It has been reported that he particularly focused on the Loro Piana stores located in these department stores.

Frederic Arnault is the fourth son of Bernard Arnault, chairman of the world's largest luxury group LVMH, and currently serves as the CEO of the Italian luxury brand Loro Piana.
Interestingly, Bernard Arnault, the chairman of LVMH, also visited South Korea in 2023 and met with key figures in the domestic department store sector, including Shin Dong-bin, chairman of Lotte Group, Shin Yu-yeol, head of future growth at Lotte Holdings, and Jung Ji-sun, chairman of Hyundai Department Store Group. This indicates LVMH Group's ongoing interest in the Korean market.
Meanwhile, the timing of Frederic Arnault's visit to South Korea has gained attention as it coincides with the concert schedule of his rumored girlfriend, BLACKPINK member Lisa.
BLACKPINK's concert was held at Goyang Comprehensive Stadium on the 5th and 6th. Although the couple has never officially acknowledged their relationship, they were first spotted on a date at a restaurant in Paris, France, in July 2023, which sparked initial dating rumors.
Since then, they have been seen together in various locations, leading the public to perceive them as an actual couple. In this context, there are speculations that Frederic Arnault's visit to South Korea may be related to the BLACKPINK concert.
