On the 9th, the Special Investigation Team (Special Prosecutor Joon-seok Cho) summoned former National Intelligence Service (NIS) Deputy Director Hong Jang-won as a witness for questioning.

Starting from 10 a.m. that day, the Special Prosecutor's team focused on confirming the situation following the declaration of a state of emergency on December 3 of last year and the role of the NIS at that time.

"Arrest everyone"… Disclosure of former President Yoon's directive

Former Deputy Director Hong is the individual who revealed that former President Yoon Seok-youl instructed the arrest of key figures, including politicians, during the state of emergency.

He previously testified in February as a witness in the presidential impeachment trial, saying, “I heard from former President Yoon, ‘Arrest everyone,’” causing significant repercussions.

Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Team plans to attend the pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) of former President Yoon, scheduled to take place at the Seoul Central District Court in the afternoon, to contest the establishment of additional charges, including abuse of power and aiding a felon.
