Dogs Being Dragged on a Road in Cheongju, Tied to a Vehicle
In Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, two dogs tied up with leashes to a vehicle were captured being dragged along the road.
On the 7th, JTBC's "Incident Commander" reported a story from a witness, A, who observed this scene on the road in Cheongju on the 4th.
According to the video shared by A, two puppies tied to a slowly moving black vehicle are following behind.
One dog sits down to take care of its business, but the driver does not stop the vehicle, and the puppy is seen being dragged helplessly along the leashed connection to the car.

A explained, "It was said to be a walk, but it looked very dangerous as they could get run over by the wheels of the vehicle."
After watching the video, lawyer Park Ji-hoon pointed out, "Although it is a quiet rural road, it is connected to a road right before it, so if a vehicle passes by, it could lead to a serious accident." He also added, "It seems to pose a potential problem in terms of animal abuse."
Meanwhile, under the current Animal Protection Act, acts that cause unnecessary suffering to animals can be deemed as abuse, and such behaviors may be subject to legal penalties.
