A grandmother was caught on camera illegally pulling flowers from a public flower bed in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.

On the 4th, JTBC's 'Incident Reporting' shared the story of a tipster, identified as A, who reported witnessing this incident at around 5 PM on the 26th of last month.

According to A, the tipster saw a grandmother hunched over, reaching into a flower bed on the roadside while passing through the area. This problematic grandmother was pulling flowers, which are part of a public facility, and placing them into her walker.

When a person approached from the opposite side, the grandmother hurriedly left the scene, indicating that she was aware her actions were inappropriate.

A immediately took photos of the scene and filed a complaint with the district office. Following this, the district office took measures to plant new flowers where the original ones had been pulled out and installed warning signs in front of the flower bed to prevent further damage.

Meanwhile, actions that damage public facilities and public property are subject to punishment under the Minor Offenses Act.
