The movie 'Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning' (directed by Christopher McQuarrie) has achieved the highest box office success of the year. According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie ticket sales, 'Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning' (hereinafter referred to as 'Mission: Impossible 8') exceeded a cumulative audience of 3,378,031 on the 7th. It surpassed the previous leader, 'The Opposition' (directed by Hwang Byeong-kook), which had an audience of 3,377,849. Since its release on May 17, it has maintained its long-running presence and climbed to the top position in the year’s box office.

From its opening day, it raised the possibility of box office success. 'Mission: Impossible 8' attracted 423,944 viewers on its opening day alone, marking the highest opening score of the year.

However, the performance is somewhat disappointing compared to previous installments. 'Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning' gathered 4.02 million viewers while 'Mission: Impossible 3' had a final count of 5.74 million.

Meanwhile, 'Mission: Impossible 8' is the eighth series in the 'Mission: Impossible' franchise, depicting the journey of Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) and the IMF team as they work to save humanity.
