NCT Dream transforms into time travelers with their new album.
On the 7th, NCT Dream released a highlight medley video for their fifth studio album "Go Back To The Future" on social media. Ahead of the album's release, they unveiled snippets of all tracks.
The new release contains a total of nine songs. The title tracks are "BTTF" and "CHILLER." "BTTF" is a hip-hop dance track that tells a story about gaining the power to change the future through time machine travel.
"CHILLER" stands out with its experimental sound. Its electronic feel, characterized by synth sounds and unpredictable chord progressions, makes a lasting impression. The lyrics depict a confident persona of being a chiller.
The song "I LIKE IT" is a dance-pop track featuring a funky electric guitar sound. It describes the moment of jumping into an unknown world with another version of oneself encountered during time travel.
"Dream Team" is a song that combines hip-hop and pop-rock genres. It harmonizes guitar riffs with piano and synthesizer sounds. The message conveyed is about getting back up after falling and hitting a thrilling home run.
"Interlude: Back to Our Paradise" features a dreamy sound with rich choruses. It narrates a story about embarking on a time travel journey to find a beloved person.
"Bout You" is an acoustic pop ballad. The accidental meeting is compared to a shower of rain that colors the heart. Its warm and emotional melody leaves a lingering feeling.
"That Summer" is an easy-listening track that depicts a clumsy yet fresh first love. The bright and cheerful New Jack Swing rhythm and tape rewind sound evoke nostalgia.
The final track, "Beautiful Sailing," is a medium-tempo pop song. It features a rich sound and lyrical melody reminiscent of a sea voyage, capturing the determination to move toward a bigger ocean after crossing rough waves.
Meanwhile, NCT Dream will release "Go Back To The Future" on major streaming platforms on the 14th at 6 PM.
