Fire Occurs at Logistics Warehouse in Daegu Seogu, No Casualties Thanks to Swift Extinguishment

On the 4th, a fire broke out at a logistics warehouse located in I-hyun-dong, Seogu, Daegu.

According to the Daegu West Fire Department, 13 reports of a fire at the logistics warehouse were received around 11:26 AM on the same day.

The firefighting authorities promptly dispatched 33 pieces of equipment and 84 personnel to the scene. Thanks to their swift response, they managed to extinguish the main fire within 33 minutes after receiving the report. Fortunately, there were no casualties as the workers were able to evacuate on their own when the fire broke out.

Sending Disaster Text Messages for Resident Safety and Future Actions

Immediately following the fire outbreak, the Seogu district office sent disaster text messages for resident safety.

The text included a message urging people to avoid surrounding roads, stating, "There is a lot of smoke coming from I-hyun-dong 42-327, so we ask nearby residents to close their windows."

This action was taken to prevent the spread of smoke and hazardous substances caused by the large logistics warehouse fire.

The police and firefighting authorities plan to conduct detailed investigations into the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage once the fire has been completely extinguished.
