Minah, Officially Announces Marriage and Shares Handwritten Letter
Minah (32, Bang Minah), a member of Girl's Day and actress, shared her thoughts on her marriage to actor On Joo-wan (42, Song Jeong-sik).
On the 4th, Minah posted a handwritten letter on her fan cafe, saying, “I really struggled with how to bring up this story.” She continued, “I imagined that when the time comes, I want to share it beautifully and be the first to let you know, but it didn't go as smoothly as I thought, so I hurriedly wrote this letter.”
Minah further expressed her feelings, “Recently, I had the chance to hear a congratulatory song from long-time fans, and it felt like I was taking out my most cherished item that was kept neatly in an old drawer.” She recalled a time when “you were young, and I was young,” and noted that, “I felt that we really had a burning passion back then, and honestly, I miss it."
She added, “You are my era and my life,” stating, “Because of the precious feelings of support and love you've given me, I have been able to live so warmly and keep moving forward.”
Additionally, she mentioned, “Because you are here, I have the confidence to move forward as an artist and as a person,” and went on to say, “I now have someone who supports me closely, so I will challenge myself to do what I want while receiving your full support, and I will live while protecting my family.”
Previously, Minah's agency, SM C&C, announced, “Actress Bang Minah and actor On Joo-wan have developed their relationship from a long friendship into love, and they have decided to build a life together starting this November.”
On Joo-wan’s agency, Hae Woong Entertainment, also shared this news, stating, “The wedding will be a quiet ceremony attended only by close family and relatives, and we kindly ask for your understanding as the ceremony will be held privately.”
Minah and On Joo-wan met while co-starring in the SBS drama ‘Beautiful Gong Shim’ in 2016.
The two continued their relationship as entertainment industry seniors and juniors and reconnected through the musical ‘The Days’ in 2021, developing into a romantic relationship.
Minah debuted in 2010 as a member of Girl’s Day. Since 2011, she has actively pursued acting, appearing in dramas such as 'Vampire Idol', 'Best Future', 'Sweet Family', 'Absolute Boyfriend', 'History of a Loser', and films like 'The Best Life', 'My Wonderful Days', and 'It's Been a While'.
On Joo-wan made his debut in the 2002 drama 'Ain's Age'. He has appeared in dramas such as 'Baekseon-gun', 'Sword and Flower', 'Punch', 'Penthouse', 'The Moon That Rises in the Day', and films like 'The Ballet Class', 'The Final Offer', 'The Taste of Money', 'Addicted', 'Honest Candidate', and the musical 'Mahogany'.
