At around 7:50 AM on the 4th, train operations along the Seoul Subway Line 2 were delayed due to a malfunction of the switch mechanism at Seoul National University Station, causing trains to come to a halt during rush hour.

The Seoul Transportation Corporation stated, "The switch mechanism for the inner and outer line trains was misaligned, leading to disruptions in train operations," and added, "By around 8:09 AM, measures were completed and trains are now moving at reduced speed."
