Former President Yoon Suk-yeol Appears for 9th Trial on Charges of Insurrection
Former President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is facing charges of being the mastermind behind an insurrection, made his appearance at the Seoul Central District Court on the morning of the 3rd.

On this day, around 10 AM, Yoon arrived at the court dressed in a purple tie and black suit. After getting out of his vehicle, he smiled at his supporters nearby who were shouting "President Yoon Suk-yeol" as he made his way to the courtroom.
Although reporters fired questions regarding "the special investigation on former Chief of Security Kim Seong-hoon," "the discussions with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo on the drafting of the martial law declaration post-factum," and "the issues surrounding the Cabinet meeting before and after the martial law," former President Yoon did not respond to any of them as he entered the court.
Trial Schedule for Insurrection Charges and Special Investigation
The 25th Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Ji Kwi-yeon) will conduct the 9th trial on Yoon's charges of being the mastermind behind the insurrection starting from 10:15 AM.

In this trial, former Colonel Kwon Young-hwan, the Chief of the Martial Law Division at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and former Colonel Ko Dong-hee, the former Chief of Planning at the Defense Intelligence Command, are expected to appear as witnesses.
The legal team for former President Yoon has consistently claimed that the investigation by the insurrection special investigation team is unconstitutional and illegal, thus a tense confrontation between both sides is anticipated in the courtroom on this day. Meanwhile, former President Yoon is scheduled to be summoned for a second round of questioning by the special investigation team at 9 AM on the 5th.
