Democratic Party Awards Special Recognition to 8,600 Contributors to Lee Jae-myung's Presidential Victory
The Democratic Party of Korea is conducting a large-scale special recognition program for those who contributed to the election of candidate Lee Jae-myung in the 21st presidential election.
A party official announced this plan officially on the 2nd.

Democratic Party spokesperson Hwang Jeong-a said during a meeting with reporters after the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, "We are planning a large-scale recognition for those who contributed to the presidential victory, including non-party members."
This special recognition will be conducted as a special award from the party leader (first-level award).
Both party members and non-party members will be eligible for the largest recognition ever.
The most notable feature of this special recognition is its large scale and broad target audience.
The recipients of the recognition will include not only party members but also non-party members, totaling 8,600 individuals.

Although specific criteria for the awards have not yet been finalized, it is expected to be based on contributions to the presidential victory.
Spokesperson Hwang emphasized, "The first-level awards were given to those who contributed in previous elections, and this time, with 8,600 recipients, the scale has never been seen before, so a very large number of awards will be given as first-level awards."
This large-scale recognition is interpreted as a measure to encourage supporters from various backgrounds who contributed to the election of President Lee Jae-myung and to solidify political unity in the future.
The Democratic Party's recognition plan can be viewed as a strategy to reward the support base after the election victory and strengthen its political foundation.
