Scooter Braun steps down… HYBE makes changes to US corporation personnel

Scooter Braun, a heavyweight in the American pop music scene, has stepped down as the CEO of Hive's North American division. The CEO of the Latin division will take over his responsibilities.

Hive announced on the 2nd that "Isaac Lee, Chairman of Hive Latin America (HBL), will also oversee the North American business" and stated that he has been appointed as the new Chairman and CEO of Hive America (HBA).

Isaac Lee is a media content expert who has previously served as the Chief Content Officer of Spanish-language television channel Univision Communications and Televisa. He is also the founder of Exile Content.

Since November 2023, he has been leading Hive's South American business. Hive explained, "The integration of operations in South and North America is expected to create synergies and enhance competitiveness."

They added, "We expect the new representative, Isaac Lee, to contribute to expanding the North American influence of Korean music group artists based on his planning ability, market understanding, and network."

HBA oversees Big Machine Label Group, QC Media Holdings, HiveX Geffen Records, and more. Artists like Cat's Eye, Lil Baby, and Justin Moore are associated with these labels.

Former CEO Scooter Braun will remain on the corporate board as a non-executive advisor. He has been responsible for HBA for the past four years and has contributed to expanding the influence of Hive artists in the U.S. market.

In addition, former Kolon FnC Executive Director Yudong Joo has been appointed as the new head of Hive Music Group APAC. This role oversees the music business of K-pop artists under Hive.

Hive stated, "This personnel change will enhance the competitiveness of each regional hub" and "maximize the execution power of global business development, accelerating the Hive 2.0 strategy."
