"Squid Game Season 3" (written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk) has topped the Netflix charts in its first week of release.

According to Netflix's official site Tudum, "Squid Game Season 3" (hereafter referred to as "SG3") has reached the number one spot in the global Top 10 series list (including both English and non-English content). During the viewing period (June 23-29), total watch time was recorded at 368.4 million hours. Considering it was released on the 27th of the previous month, it surpassed 300 million hours in just three days.

This achievement demonstrates the global audience's interest, as it garnered an impressive 60.1 million views (calculated by dividing total watch time by the show's runtime).

The series made its mark on the Top 10 lists in 93 countries/regions, securing first place in all of them, including the Republic of Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and France.

With the new season's release, previous installments have also re-entered the rankings. "Squid Game Season 2" settled in at third place, while "Squid Game Season 1" took the sixth spot.

"SG3" continues the story from Season 2, following Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) as he re-enters the game to face off against the Front Man (played by Lee Byung-hun) in a climactic showdown.

This season has elicited the most divided opinions among the series' installments. While some media outlets have praised it for being "a story worthy of the finale," others have raised concerns about its "lack of coherence."
