The singer Kang Min-kyung enjoys her 'cabbage tteokbokki' by adding a lot of sweet cabbage to the spicy Dongdaemun tteokbokki.

This method of eating tteokbokki with cabbage has become a trend for healthier consumption. Eating vegetables like cabbage alongside stimulating foods can prevent a rapid spike in blood sugar levels.

In fact, cabbage balances the spiciness of the tteokbokki and adds a crunchy texture, making it a popular and healthy combination.

However, until now, there was the inconvenience of not being able to order cabbage topping separately, necessitating pre-steaming the cabbage and purchasing it separately before the delivery arrived.

In response to consumer requests over a long period to add cabbage to the topping menu, Dongdaemun Spicy Tteokbokki has decided to release this topping.

On the 30th, Dongdaemun Spicy Tteokbokki announced that starting tomorrow (the 1st), they will preview the new toppings of cabbage and green onion for six days through their app.

Each topping can be added for 1,000 won and is only selectable when ordering the main tteokbokki. Additionally, a maximum of one cabbage and one green onion topping can be added.

However, for the two-person tteokbokki, only one topping can be added at most, so it is not possible to enjoy both cabbage and green onion simultaneously. Furthermore, since these toppings are cooked with the tteokbokki, they cannot be received separately.

Meanwhile, starting in 2024, Dongdaemun Spicy Tteokbokki has been consistently running a 'Bring Your Own Container Challenge,' where customers who bring their own containers and post on social media will receive coupons worth 14,000 won.

Regarding this, a representative from Dongdaemun Spicy Tteokbokki stated, "We wanted to support customers who bring their own containers, even if it's a bit inconvenient," and added, "We believe that small actions in daily life can lead to significant changes, which is why we are conducting this campaign."
