Recovery Support Coupons for Livelihoods, with the First Payment Goal Set for Two Weeks
Lim Ki-heon, the second vice minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, has revealed plans for the swift execution of the livelihood recovery support coupons included in the second supplementary budget.
On the 30th, during a comprehensive policy inquiry session of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, Vice Minister Lim promised, "At least the first payment will be executed within approximately two weeks."

In response to a question from Song Gi-heon, a member of the Democratic Party, Vice Minister Lim mentioned a specific timeline for the issuance of consumption coupons.
He stated, "In order to execute this as quickly as possible, we are discussing it by forming a task force with relevant ministries," explaining the government's proactive preparation efforts.
Customized Support and Swift Execution
Vice Minister Lim highlighted that a key task for this coupon distribution is "to tailor support according to income levels while also enhancing the speed of execution."
In order to achieve these two objectives simultaneously, the government explained that it has adopted a plan to issue the support coupons in two phases: the first and second payments.

When Democratic Party member Park Min-kyu inquired about the execution speed of the second supplementary budget, Vice Minister Lim responded, "In the first supplementary budget, the goal was to achieve 70% within three months after it was approved by the National Assembly," and added, "We are setting target figures to proceed at a slightly faster pace than the first supplementary budget."
Finally, Vice Minister Lim emphasized, "We are diligently preparing for the execution now," and assured, "We will ensure that it can produce effects on the ground as quickly as possible."
The current livelihood recovery support coupons are being spotlighted as a core economic measure from the government that aims to simultaneously pursue two policy objectives: revitalizing the economy and stabilizing the lives of the working class.
