Heat Wave Advisory Issued for All of Seoul, Continuing Heat Wave Along with Tropical Nights

A heat wave advisory has been issued for all of Seoul.

The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that as of 12 PM on the 30th, a heat wave warning has been enacted for all of Seoul and some areas of Gyeonggi Province.

A heat wave advisory is issued when it is expected that the perceived temperature will exceed 33 degrees Celsius for more than two days.

Last night, the first tropical night of the year was observed in Seoul, and it is predicted that the heat will intensify during the day, causing the perceived temperature to exceed 33 degrees. With the damp conditions of the monsoon rain expected to persist for the time being, heat waves during the day and tropical nights at night are forecasted to continue.

The Korea Meteorological Administration has urged citizens to refrain from strenuous outdoor activities due to the persistent heat and to take special care of their health, including staying hydrated.
