Elderly Man Dies from Heat Illness While Working with Bamboo in Scorching Heat
An unfortunate incident occurred in Gokseong, Jeollanam-do, where an 84-year-old man died from a heat-related illness while working in a bamboo field.

According to the Gokseong Police Station on the 29th, a report was received around 11:51 AM on the 28th that Mr. A (84) had suddenly collapsed while cutting bamboo in a village in Gokseong-eup.
Firefighters who responded to the report immediately transported Mr. A to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he died during treatment. According to police investigations, Mr. A reportedly experienced symptoms of heatstroke while working alongside his biological brother.
