Price Increases for Convenience Store Food Starting in July

Starting next month, the prices of food sold at convenience stores will uniformly increase.

According to the industry on the 29th, the prices of major convenience store products such as coffee, milk, snacks, and side dishes will rise by an average of 3–13% from July.

Recently, Dongseo raised the ex-factory prices of instant coffee, coffee mix, and coffee beverages by an average of 7.7% and is increasing the prices of Oreos (Choco, Thin Vanilla, Thin Chocolate Mousse, Mint Chocolate) from 2,200 KRW to 2,300 KRW, a 4.5% increase.

For Oreo Wafer Stick Chocolate 75g, the price will go up from 3,300 KRW to 3,400 KRW, a 3% increase, while the 150g pack will rise from 6,500 KRW to 6,800 KRW, a 4.6% increase.

Dongseo's cereal bar products are also among those seeing price increases. Post Corn Flake Bars and Post Oat Cocoa Ball Bars will increase from 1,800 KRW to 1,900 KRW, a 5.6% rise, while protein bars (50g) and Post Energy Bars 50g (Balance) & 45g (Active) will each increase from 2,000 KRW to 2,100 KRW, a 5% rise.

Ediya Coffee's five varieties (Cafe Latte, Toffee Nut Signature Latte, Dolce Cold Brew, Vanilla Latte, Schokolade Mocha) will see a 10.3% price increase from 2,900 KRW to 3,200 KRW.

Dairy products have not escaped price hikes either.

Dongwon F&B's "Denmark" milk in three flavors (Chocolate Chocolate, Coffee Coffee, Strawberry Strawberry) will rise by 5%, from 2,000 KRW to 2,100 KRW.

Expected price increase of up to 13% on side dishes, burdening consumers

In particular, the prices of side dishes will also increase. Yuseong's 140g floating snail product will increase from 7,700 KRW to 8,700 KRW, a 13% rise, while the 230g product will rise from 9,900 KRW to 10,900 KRW, a 10.1% increase; and the 400g product will go from 17,000 KRW to 18,900 KRW, an 11.2% rise.

Hanseong's crab meat (90g) will increase from 3,000 KRW to 3,200 KRW, a 6.7% rise, and crab meat (140g) will go from 4,400 KRW to 4,600 KRW, a 4.5% increase.
