A 40-Year-Old Woman Causes Disturbance on Flight to Jeju, Passengers in Fear
Last evening, a female passenger in her 40s caused a serious disturbance on a T'way Air flight heading to Jeju from Gimpo Airport, leaving passengers in fear. According to KBS Jeju, the woman kicked crew members and shouted vulgarities, continuing her rampage for about 50 minutes throughout the flight.
A passenger present at the scene, Mr. A, stated, "The crew tried to remove the woman, but they couldn't manage, so they asked for help from the other passengers." He recounted, "The disruptive passenger kept asking, 'Why aren't you giving me a parachute?' and claimed she needed to jump out, attempting to open the emergency door, and we tried to stop her, resulting in some getting hurt."

What makes this situation even more serious is that the disturbance began immediately after the aircraft took off and continued until just before landing.
Need for Police Arrest and Aviation Security Measures Raised
The woman causing the disturbance was arrested by police who arrived as soon as the plane landed at Jeju Airport.
The Jeju West Police Station announced on the 28th that they are investigating Mr. A for violating aviation security laws.
The police are currently looking into the specifics of the incident and the motivation behind the disturbance.

T’way Air stated, "We took appropriate measures against the disruptive passenger in accordance with aviation security laws," adding, "Aside from a delay of about 20 minutes in arrival, all connecting flights operated normally without further issues."
