Actor Seol Kyung-gu and Hong Gyeong are heading to Canada. Their new film has been invited to the Toronto International Film Festival. On the 27th, Netflix announced, "The movie 'Good News' (directed by Byun Seong-hyun) has been invited to the 'Special Presentation' section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival."

The Toronto International Film Festival is the largest film festival in North America and is regarded as one of the world's top four film festivals along with the Cannes Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival, and the Venice Film Festival.

The section in which 'Good News' has been invited showcases globally anticipated works. Notable films like 'Veteran 2', 'Decision to Leave', 'The Age of Shadows', and 'The Handmaiden' have received invitations as well.

Cameron Bailey, the executive director of the Toronto International Film Festival, shared the reason for the invitation, stating, "This film exemplifies our festival's philosophy of innovation, authenticity, and a global perspective."

'Good News' depicts the suspicious operation of individuals trying to land a hijacked plane in 1970. Seol Kyung-gu plays the troubleshooter, while Hong Gyeong portrays an Air Force lieutenant.

Meanwhile, 'Good News' will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and it will be available for viewing on Netflix afterward.
