Jimin of 'BTS' has set a new record on the UK Official Chart. Jimin pre-released "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band," a track from his second solo album 'MUSE,' on the 28th of last month. According to the UK Official Chart on the 5th (local time), Jimin ranked 46th on the Official Singles Chart with "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band."
Jimin has entered the Official Singles Chart a total of five times with solo songs. His first entry was in 2023 with "VIBE," a collaboration with Taeyang, which debuted at 96th. His pre-release track "Set Me Free Pt.2" from his first solo album 'FACE' reached 30th, the title track "Like Crazy" peaked at 8th, and the OST "Angel Pt.1" from the movie 'Fast & Furious: Ride or Die' charted at 82nd.
"Smeraldo Garden Marching Band" also claimed the top spot in both the 'Singles Downloads' and 'Singles Sales' charts. The song is based on a "marching band" playing while marching and combines big band sound with hip-hop. Jimin's refreshing vocals and Loco's distinctive rap harmonize well.
Jimin is set to release his new album 'MUSE' on the 19th. On this day, BTS's official SNS revealed photos of the 'SERENADE' version, the second concept of 'MUSE.' The main prop is a guitar. The album tells the story of Jimin's search for the source of his inspiration. The 'SERENADE' version's concept photos and clips will be unveiled on the 7th.
