Final confirmation that he was not driving under the influence of alcohol
A representative from the traffic investigation team of the Sejong Southern Police stated, "The reaction on the alcohol detector is presumed to have occurred due to the impact of the vehicle causing the front washer fluid to burst."
Circumstances of the Accident and Victim Situation
The accident occurred at around 2:26 p.m. on the 19th in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Saerom-dong, Sejong City.
Mr. A's Grandeur vehicle suddenly dashed forward and crashed into the parking lot wall, which was discovered and reported by a sanitation worker at the apartment.

As a result of the accident, a woman in her 70s and a woman in her 60s, who were seated in the back, lost their lives. It is especially tragic considering that both women were wearing seat belts at the time.
It is reported that the two men in the front seat sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment.
According to police investigations, the driver, Mr. A, and one of the deceased women are siblings, and the two passengers are their spouses. It appears to be a tragic accident that occurred during a family outing.
A police official stated, "Currently, we have requested an examination of the vehicle from the NFS," adding, "We will need to wait about 2 to 3 months for the results to determine the precise direction of our investigation."
The police continue to investigate to determine whether the cause of the accident was operational error by the driver or a vehicle defect.
