The webtoon "Solo Leveling" has announced the evolution of its universe.
With a global cumulative view count of 14.3 billion, "Solo Leveling" is being reborn as a live performance. It will present Korea's first "Ice Performance Musical."
This performance is an ice show that unfolds on ice. It combines elements of musical theater and action performances, proposing a new genre of K-content.
Actors will directly recreate battle scenes to enhance the liveliness of the performance. Projection mapping will be integrated into the ice stage. Great care has been taken in the music direction, which traverses between group choreography and ice performances.
Current idols, national figure skating representatives, musical actors, and professional action performers will all participate, completing thrilling scenes.
Auditions are also being held. They are recruiting around 20 supporting and ensemble actors, including the main characters Sung Jin-Woo, Cha Hae-In, and Igrit. The application period runs until the 20th of next month.
A representative stated, "We have fused Korea's first ice performance with 'Solo Leveling,'" adding, "We plan to ensure that K-content led by Korea can expand into a series."
Meanwhile, the musical "Solo Leveling" will take place at the Mokdong Ice Rink from December 24 to 31, with a total of 10 performances.
